Shane Greer
Executive/Worship Pastor
Shane grew up in the small west Texas town of Kermit, where at the age of 7, he recognized his need for a Savior and prayed to receive Christ as his personal Lord and Savior. At the age of 14, his family moved to Irving, Texas, and it was there, at the age of 15, that Shane felt the call to surrender to ministry. By the age of 19, Shane was serving in full-time ministry. He is now going on nearly 30 years of full-time ministry and still has a passion for serving God and loving people.
Shane graduated from Irving Nimitz High School in 1993 and graduated from The Criswell College in Dallas, TX with a Bachelors in Biblical Studies in 2003. He married the love of his life, Misty, in 1998 and together they have two amazing children, Madison and Noah.
Shane loves sports! He is a die-hard Dallas Mavericks fan and a die-hard Oklahoma Sooner fan - BOOMER SOONER! He also likes the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers.
Shane counts it an honor and privilege to serve the people of Tolar and the surrounding areas.
"I look forward to seeing what God is up to in the coming years. I believe He is doing a new thing and I want to be right in the middle of it all".

Don Atchison
TBC Office Manager
Don could call himself a southern Indiana “Hoosier” transplanted into this great state of Texas, which he loves, and has the “y’all” down well. Going back several years, though, after high school graduation, he met and couldn’t resist going to church with his best friend, Darlene. They were married a year later. Soon after, Don was called by God and accepted the Lord as his personal Savior during a fall church revival, and then became very involved serving in that rural church. Attending a non-denominational Christian church, he held several positions – Sunday School Superintendent, Deacon, Elder, Chairman of the church board, and he and his wife were Youth leaders for several years.
Don retired after 31 years of working for General Motors making transmission casings in the Bedford, Indiana foundry. Also, living and helping on his in-laws farms, he continued farming after retirement. After his father-in-law fought cancer for several years and passed away, Don moved his wife’s family to Texas in 2010 to be near their oldest daughter.
He and the family felt called to a local Baptist Church here in Granbury, where his wife was hired to be pianist. After attending for several years and holding the position of Sunday School Superintendent, Don was ordained as Associate Executive Pastor in 2018 by Bro. Glenn Ward. He loved serving the church and the community in the food ministry there and helping people in the area. He now looks forward to working with other pastors, church members, and the community here in Tolar.
Don and his wife have two daughters, Carrie and Carmen, and four grandchildren, Cale, River, Canyon and Sierra. He and his oldest grandson enjoy watching Nascar and the entire family loves to watch the grandchildren in their various sporting and musical events.
“I am very excited to be a part of the Tolar Baptist staff and to see how God will use me for His ministry here.”
