So That We May Walk

He has been given the name that is above every name. At the name of Jesus, every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of the Father. He is the new covenant that is written on and sealed within our hearts. He is the change within our very souls. For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government shall be upon His shoulders. We believe and know and follow and trust in the Lord, and He will direct our paths. We worry about nothing and pray about everything, and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding and reasoning and imagining, guards our hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. We have the Rock on which to stand. We have the highest mountain from which to view and recognize and acknowledge the whole picture and panorama. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Jesus Christ is Lord of our lives and the saving grace that takes our sins away. He is the answer that guides our feet and our days. He is the Good News that lights our way. And we are taught by His Spirit to know the truth and to stay the course --- to fight the good fight, to run the race, and to keep the faith. If we are to be children of light, children of the Father, a people belonging to God, then our eyes are to be on Jesus, and we are to walk as Jesus does. We follow firmly in the footsteps.

In the last days the mountain of the LORD’s temple will be established as chief among the mountains; it will be raised above the hills, and peoples will stream to it. Many nations will come and say, “Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob. He will teach us his ways, so that we may walk in His paths.” The law will go out from Zion, the Word of the LORD from Jerusalem.   --- Micah 4:1-2
