We Are from God

What do we hear; what do we know; what do we speak? We have been given the gift of truth, the Good News, the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We have been entrusted and blessed with the knowledge of God, the wisdom of the ages, the message of salvation, the testimony of grace. We have heard the voice of righteousness. The Spirit calls us to attention and calls us to arms. And we are to herald this salt and light unto the world. The Word is in our hearts and on our lips and speaking from our souls. Blessed are the feet of those who bring the Good News! The victory of Christ is ours! Sin had left its crimson stain, but He washed it white as snow --- He washed us white as snow. We are no longer slaves to sin, but free followers of Christ! For God so loved the world that He gave us His only begotten Son. And on the cross, He took away all the sin and guilt and shame of all who believe. And He rose again so that we could be born again to everlasting life in the presence and love of God. And our words of wonder are in this amazing grace and endless love and ultimate triumph. The Son has set us free, and we are free, indeed! The chains are gone; the fear is gone. The door is open. Our cup runneth over. Surely, goodness and mercy will follow us all the days of our lives, and we will dwell in the house of the LORD forever. And this, this, is the Word we hear and the Word we speak!

The LORD came and stood there, calling as at the other times, “Samuel! Samuel!” Then Samuel said, “Speak, for Your servant is listening.”   --- 1 Samuel 3:10

You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, for greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world. They are from the world and, therefore, speak from the viewpoint of the world, and the world listens to them. We are from God, and whoever knows God listens to us; but whoever is not from God does not listen to us. This is how we recognize the Spirit of truth and the spirit of falsehood.   --- 1 John 4:4-6

And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent His Son to be the Savior of the world.  --- 1 John 4:14
