Cheerful Giver

Father, what I have, I give. There is nothing that I have that was not given to me by You. There is nothing that I am that was not designed and formed and refined by You. Let me give; let me give! All I have, all I am, is Yours. I have received blessing upon blessing: my daily bread, my food and shelter and clothing, my help in time of trouble, my refuge in the storm, my peace that surpasses all understanding, my grace that is greater than all my sins. Here You have surrounded me and guarded me and guided me. There is no space and time --- there is only You. And You have enabled and honored and privileged me to be with You. And I thank You; I thank You; I thank You! Let my words, let my thoughts, let my motions, let my heart, be an offering to You, a living sacrifice of praise to You, a testimony and celebration and proclamation of Christ! Every day I behold Your glory and experience Your majesty and know that I am loved. And I know that I can give this joy and share this truth and sing this sacred song to the world. I can let all the other hearts know who You are. I can say Your name; I can say Your love; I can say Your grace. I can give Jesus in my money and goods and time and efforts and determination and in my heart. I can give what You have given me. I can give Jesus. With all my heart, with all my heart, thank You! In Jesus’ name, amen.

Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must give what he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.  --- 2 Corinthians 9:6-8
