So Be Holy

You have a direction; you have a calling of the heart; you have a path that points the way. And in this focus and funneling, you are taught and trained. You are prodded and prompted. You are enlightened and encouraged and equipped. The Word has brought you toward holiness. Association and fellowship with His witnesses have given you drive. The Spirit has reinforced your knowledge and conviction. And Christ is taking your hand and leading you and showing you and strengthening you for the way of righteousness. Christ is taking you into obedience to the Father; Christ is taking you into the wisdom of worship; Christ is taking you into the respect and reverence and awe and wonder and fear of the LORD. And walking in trust and obedience and zeal and eagerness and perpetual persistence becomes not just theory, but practice and purpose. It becomes the hunger of your heart. It becomes the seal and sign of your soul. It becomes the fullness of who you are, because you are in Christ. You are living and learning and loving in the presence of God. This is the life that is meant to be. Your fellowship and foundation are Christ. Your commands and counsel are Christ. Your determination and devotion are Christ. Your power and plans are Christ. Your life is a song and sacrifice and celebration to Christ. You yearn and strive and seek and work and fight and endure and abide and love and rejoice for Christ. You are known and acknowledged in Christ. That is your heart and mind and soul and the company that you keep --- and the Company that keeps you.

Therefore, prepare your minds for action; be self-controlled; set your hope fully on the grace to be given you when Jesus Christ is revealed. As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance. But just as He who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do. --- 1 Peter 1:13-15
