Walk in the Name

The time is coming when there will be no more tears and no more pain. Until then, we live in hope; we live in the promise. We live in the faithfulness of God. We trust in every Word that has come from the mouth of God. We believe on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. And in this life, we have the certainty of His love; we have the holy ground of His truth; we have the power and sanctuary of His presence. And the Spirit does not let us forget the way of His will. In His Word and in prayer, we come before Him. We come before Him with purpose. We come before Him because that is where our lives need to be. All else passes away, but our love, our connection, our relationship, our obedience to God, stands forever. Our yoke to Christ and our allegiance to Christ and our devotion to Christ are solid and secure and sealed and sanctified by His command. We live knowing that He is with us. We live knowing that we are His. And as the fallen world continues spiraling down into a hellhole, we know that we are redeemed; we are saved; we are set apart for His glory and purpose and plan. We are made new for His Kingdom. We are prepared for our place in His victory. Death has no sting. Sin has no say, because the cross has thrown it away. And our path is the way of Christ. And we walk as He has shown us, day by day and year by year and joy by joy and hope by hope and love by love, until He comes.
Every man will sit under his own vine and under his own fig tree, and no one will make them afraid, for the LORD Almighty has spoken. All the nations may walk in the name of their gods; we will walk in the name of the LORD our God forever and ever. --- Micah 4:4-5
