The LORD Has Spoken

The days are coming; the days are coming. Victory is at hand. The way of the cross leads home. The Lord has become our salvation. He is our Resurrection and Life. There will be no more pain and no more tears and no more suffering. He prepares a table before us, and the enemy is defeated. Our cup runneth over; our hearts are satisfied; our souls are content; our eyes see the Lord. His grace is sufficient for our eternity. He has said and declared and proclaimed, “Come unto Me, all ye who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart. And you will find rest for your souls, for My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” And again, He has said, “In this world you will have troubles. But be of good cheer! I have overcome the world!” We have seen a great light and no more live in darkness. His hand and His Spirit are upon us. God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. We are free, indeed! Death has no sting. Sin has no power. The accuser is brought to shame. And we live in the love and grace and forgiveness and mercy of Christ. We have repented and become new creations in Christ’s righteousness in the presence of God. Our trust, our hope, our joy, stands before us. Our faith has brought us to Christ. One truth, one peace, one way.

On this mountain, the LORD Almighty will prepare a feast of rich food for all peoples, a banquet of aged wine, the best of meats, and the finest of wines. On this mountain, He will destroy the shroud that enfolds all peoples, the sheet that covers all nations; He will swallow up death forever. The Sovereign LORD will wipe away the tears from all faces; He will remove the disgrace of His people from all the earth. The LORD has spoken. In that day they will say, “Surely, this is our God; we trusted in Him, and He saved us. This is the LORD; we trusted in Him; let us rejoice and be glad in His salvation.”   --- Isaiah 25:6-9
